    This eclipse is the third annular eclipse of the XXIst century. It bears the number 7640 in the canon of Oppolzer and belongs to the Saros series number 147 of the canon of eclipses of Mucke and Meeus. In the canon of eclipses of the Sun calculated by IMCCE, this eclipse is the 22nd of the Saros number 193.

    The central band is grazing and is very wide (over 4500km). The annular eclipse, when observable, will be very low on the horizon. The annular phase will be observable from Greenland and Iceland. The partial phase will be visible from Europe, except Spain and Portugal. It will then be seen on a part of Asia and will end over northern Canada and Alaska.
