RINGS OF NEPTUNE

Credit : Voyager NASA

Neptune has rings as Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus. These very thin rings are difficult to observe from Earth: they were discovered during the transit of the system of Neptune in front of a star: the light flux decreased when passing behind the rings, thus revealing their presence.

These rings have a discontinuous nature: it was thought to be dealing with only arcs.
