MARS GLOBAL SURVEYOR PROBE

Mars Global Surveyor probe has been on an elliptical orbit around Mars 12 September 1997 for a period of 2 years.

This image shows the relief near the south pole of Mars like a waffle! The light color probably comes from dry ice but blackheads are unexplained. This area is 10 x 15 km.
