MARS GLOBAL SURVEYOR PROBE

This image represents an area 10 km wide on the northern edge of the canyon Valles Marineris which is 3500 km long.

In spite of the presence of some craters of meteoritic impacts, the relief reminds us some terrestrial landscapes.
