Detail of Jupiter's great red spot

The Juno spacecraft (NASA's New Frontiers program mission) was launched on August 5, 2011 and put into polar orbit around Jupiter on July 5, 2016. It has not been able to leave this orbit as previously planned, but is carrying out all the planned observations.

The observations of the Juno probe have shown a great complexity in the atmosphere of Jupiter whose weather system would be linked to ammonia more present than expected.
