The satellite Callisto is covered with small craters suggesting a very slow evolution of the surface of the satellite.
Opposite, a chain of craters on Callisto that recalls others due to the fall of comets. This broad area is approximately 13 km wide and the size of the smallest pits is of the order of 130 meters. The white areas are due to ice outcropping. This image was taken from a distance of 1567 km.
