  • Description of the eclipse


    This eclipse is the first annular eclipse of the XXIst century. It bears the number 7637 in the canon of Oppolzer and belongs to the Saros series number 132 of the canon of eclipses of Mucke and Meeus. Its central path begins in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, and then through the whole ocean without encountering any land. It crosses Central America, passing on Costa Rica and ends in the Caribbean sea.
