The image, opposite, was reconstructed from images taken by the NEAR probe on 18 February 2000 at a distance of 361 km. The smallest detail visible measures approximately 35 meters.

The image opposite, was taken a distance of 289 km on 29 February 2000. We distinguish stripes whose size is 100 m in width and up to several kilometers long.

This picture was taken on 14 February 2000 just after the probe was put in orbit. On the left, you can clearly distinguish light areas.
