Asteroid 2008 TC3 is the first body observed from the Earth (a trail on image 1) the orbit of which leading to a collision with Earth (map 2).
The fall has been observed on October 7, 2008. The body, fortunately, was small (diameter around 2 or 3 meters with a weight of 30 to 40 tons) and did not make a crater. It exploded at an altitude of 30 km. Image 3 shows small pieces found on the ground after the fall and image 4 the remaining of the fall in the sky of Soudan.
