COMETS

Comet Lulin, discovered in July 2007 at the Lulin Observatory in Taiwan, has an estimated diameter between 10 and 20 km. It went on 24 February 2009 to 60 millions km from Earth.

We can clearly distinguish on the image, on left, the dust tail, the very bright core ejecting carbon molecules characterized by the greenish color.
