Launch of Diamant A from Hammaguir in the Sahara in 1966. He put in orbit the technological capsule "Asterix" and three D-1 geodetic satellites.

Diamant B launcher at Kourou. It was followed by the launcher Diamant BP4. From 1975, the CNES was devoted to the development of the European launcher Ariane.
